Desscaras (デスカラス Desukarasu) is one of the characters in the Japanese manga series, Ichi the Witch. Desscaras, known as the Abyssal Witch, is a powerful magic user in this world where Majik, a living force, grants power through difficult trials. She is confident and skilled, often taking charge of dangerous missions like confronting King Uroro, a destructive Majik. Despite her serious nature, Desscaras sometimes dismisses caution, preferring to handle matters on her own.
Appearance[]

Desscaras is a stunning and captivating figure with a dark complexion. Her exceptionally long, thick, curly black hair is styled into cornrows parted from the middle reaching out the the sides where they converge and end in voluminous pigtails, with intricate bubble braids and several curly tufts on both sides. Her pale-yellow eyes, which really stands out, and her delicate face are further softened by her neatly cropped micro bangs. Known as the most beautiful witch of them all, her delicate frame accentuates her ethereal and mesmerizing appearance. She frequently dons a tall, black top hat, which lends a touch of sophistication and elegance. A long, flowing black piece that hangs from the hat's rear down like a cape enhances the aura and mystique of her image.

Her outfit consists of an all-white, Victorian-style ensemble that she is wearing with style and bluster. In order to create the illusion of volume, the sleeves are fitted from the shoulders to the elbows, with a puff below the elbow. The sleeves include puffy parts at the top that are topped with a narrow-buttoned closure down each side that is attached with small buttons. The sleeves tape down to an uncompromising fit after being expansive from the top to the wrists.
The neckline is shaped like a deep V; the front V ends just above the cleavage, while the back V extends down the center of her back. In order to conceal her modesty and create a high, regal turtleneck collar that stands out sharply against the white dress, the V cut is filled in with golden in color finely embroidered cloth. The entire gown has an elaborate, pricey appearance thanks to its golden embroidery.
The effect of a corset highlighting her slender waist is created by the dress's snug waist, where it has been pulled in to complement her shape. This costume offers a pretty interesting spin on Victorian design, since the lower half flows into a pair of very loose, billowy pants rather than the waist as in a dress. This is somewhat evocative of the loose style. The puffed sections and fitted finish of the sleeves, which balance the top and bottom portions of an ensemble, are displayed in these pants. Sleek black high-heeled boots bring a modern touch and height to an otherwise traditional Victorian-inspired ensemble, completing the entire look.
Personality[]

Desscaras is confident and assertive, often preferring to take matters into her own hands without waiting for others. She can be dismissive of help, believing it would only slow her down, and is focused on her goals with a no-nonsense attitude.[1] She is determined, focused, and unafraid to confront powerful foes like King Uroro, showcasing her belief in her abilities.[2]
Despite her tough exterior, she has a practical approach to situations, valuing efficiency over unnecessary assistance, which leads others, like Monegold, to view her as a handful. Even when faced with dangerous situations, she remains composed and determined, unafraid to challenge powerful enemies like King Uroro. However, she also shows a degree of impatience, especially when things don't go as planned.[1]

Natural Prowess[]
Desscaras is known to be the strongest and most beautiful witch, recognized for her incredible talent and skills.[3] She nearly destroyed an evil Majik named Uroro but was unable to defeat him because he has a unique trait of not being defeated by a woman. Desscaras possesses the ability to use a powerful spell called Lazud. This spell was nearly activated by Ichi, who accidentally used it due to King Uroro's amplifying skill, which causes any spell to become extremely destructive if the proper chant is spoken.[4]
Desscaras has the ability to track, hunt, and acquire Majiks, which is a part of her job as a witch. She is knowledgeable about the number of confirmed Majiks and their hiding places. Desscaras also possesses the power to make magical barriers disappear, as demonstrated when she freed Ichi from a cage. Additionally, she can control and utilize spells, such as the Revive Spell, which she used to restore Druid Mountain to its previous state.[5]
- Master Swordswoman: Desscaras is highly skilled with her rapier in battle. She was able to put significant pressure on and nearly defeat King Uroro, a particularly dangerous Majik.[6]
Magic Ability[]

Despite Desscaras' immense magical power versus, King Uroro extremely strong defenses.
- Offensive Magic: Desscaras is shown to be proficient with array of offensive spells, full extend of which is yet to be revealed:
- Lazud (
貴 穿 Razunodo, lit. "to pierce through", eng. "Pierce Through All - Lazud"): An offensive spell causing a huge explosion presumably with the intend to pierce through the target, used by Desscaras against King Uroro during their battle at the top of Druid Mountain. Despite the spell's or the user's strength the spell seems to not be able to bypass the rules of Majik's Trial as shown when Uroro's heart withstood its full impact.[7][8] - Explodelapta: A spell that creates an explosion at the tip of the wand.
- Iskandar: A Majik capable of creating star-like projectiles powerful enough to one-shot the World-Hater Majik's Lancemen.
- Crash Down: It is Alexandra's Majik ability, which creates a huge impact from the swing of the wand that was able to split the World-Hater Majik in half.
- Ignitedumatch: A spell that makes a fiery explosion.

- Defensive Magic: Desscaras is able to use array of defensive magic, full extend of which is yet to be revealed:
- Parthion (
再 生 Parutsuon, lit. "restoration to life", eng. "Be Thee Reborn - Parthion"): A healing spell which heals the recipient and, in theory, wakes them up from an unconscious state, used by Desscaras when trying to wake up Ichi after he passed out for three days due to using King Uroro's amplification powers. When cast on fertile ground the spell causes surrounding flora to flourish as evidenced by Desscaras' account and Ichi's restoration of the Druid Mountain after his fight with Uroro.[9][10] - Magical Barrier: Desscaras uses a magical shield or barrier for defense in her battles. However, it can be breached, as shown when Ichi, still in a state of confusion, cuts through it with his attack. This shows that the barrier can be broken, especially if Desscaras is caught off-guard or faces unexpected threats.[11]
- Magical Cage: Desscaras can create a magical cage to imprison individuals. She used this cage to hold Ichi and control him while offering him two options. Beyond that, there isn't much information about this ability.[12]
- Magical Bubble: A spell capable of creating a protective floating bubble that would protect anyone inside it, and potentially heal it, like when Ichi was healed from Warp Out effects inside it.
- Parthion (
- Other Magic: Desscaras can also use magic that is neither offensive or defensive, that can be used outside the fight.
- Loud Sound Spell: Desscaras has tried various methods to wake Ichi after he was knocked out for three days due to using this Majik, including slapping him, using a loud sound spell, and attempting a revivification spell.[10]
- Magic Platform: Desscaras can create a magical platform that hovers in the air. She can manipulate its size, making it either a large stationary platform or a small, fast-moving circle that grants her agile air mobility.[12]
- Golconda: The majik ability to make the target say everything the user demands. It was used by Desscaras to demand information from Majiks about their trial such as the World-Hater Majik, where it failed, to her surprise.
Equipment[]
- Rapier Sword: Desscaras uses a rapier as her weapon of choice. It also acts as her wand.[13]
