Inazuri (雷狐 (イナヅリ) , Inazuri), scientifically classified as the Raiko Majik (雷 (らい) 狐 (こ) の魔法, Raiko no Mahō), is a lightning majik acquired by Ichi.

Appearance

Inazuri is a large fox with five tails. It constantly has lightning crackling around it, most concentrated around its mane and tails, which appear to be formed out of lightning itself.

Personality

Inazuri is very confident in its own abilities, to the point of dreaming of becoming the most powerful lightning majik. It is cruel, killing animals simply for fun, and very careless, casually discussing its trial.

Its confidence in its strength acts as Inazuri's downfall, however, as it doesn't pay attention to its surroundings and easily fell into Ichi's trap.

As with many foxes, Inazuri tends to pounce towards the northeast.

Plot

Background

Inazuri manifested on Mount Barokken. In the two weeks after its manifestation, it killed any animal it saw, striking with its lighting and enjoying the burnt smell.

Introduction Arc

After killing an animal, Inazuri decided that it was time to go and kill its first humans. While heading towards a nearby village, Inazuri occasionally felt a presence, but being unable to find anyone, dismissed it.

It eventually ran into a human girl and rushed to attack and kill her, but instead fell into a trap Ichi set up. To Inazuri's surprise, the presence it had felt was Ichi watching it over the course of a day and learning its habits, including Inazuri inadvertently revealed its trial; due to that, Ichi was able to set up the trap and lure Inazuri into it. With Inazuri trapped, Ichi took its heart jewel and acquired the majik.

Abilities and Skills

As the Raiko Majik, Inazuri has power over lightning. It has the ability to transform into an electric current and surge through an opponent's body, boiling their blood and cooking them from the inside.

Inazuri has a very powerful sense of smell, which Ichi notes to be particularly sharp even compared to other foxes. While this can normally act as a strength, it makes Inazuri weak to the smell of wood vinegar; a whiff of the scent was enough to instantly knock it out.

Trial

Inazuri's Trial requires someone to steal its heart jewel that is on its neck, without being struck by any of its lightning. Inazuri believes this trial to be hard to accomplish, though Ichi was able to come up with a trap to neutralize any challenge it posed within a day.

Magic Ability

• Inazuri ("Lightning Claw"): Inazuri's magic ability allows its wielder to shoot forward a large blast of lightning. According to Ichi, the swinging motion to throw out the blast feels similar to swinging a large scythe. The lightning's power was enough to near-instantly melt three of the Hisame Majik's ice clones.

• Inazuri's majik title, "Raiko" (雷 (らい) 狐 (こ) ), can be literally translated as "Thunder Fox".
