The Mantinel Witches Association is a well-organized institution comprising three distinct groups: Witches, Senior Witch Cadets, and Junior Witch Cadets. The Witches are highly skilled magic specialists tasked with hunting Majiks. Senior Witch Cadets support the Witches and engage in various fields, including magic research and the production of magical items. Meanwhile, Junior Witch Cadets, who have successfully passed an aptitude test, are eligible to receive training at the Mantinel Magic Academy for Girls.
This association plays a crucial role in the cultural and economic landscape of Natali. Numerous women employed in the city have undergone training through the Witches Association, utilizing their magical abilities in a range of professions, from manual labor to artisanal crafts. Merchandise related to witches, such as witch dolls and "who's-who" books, enjoy considerable popularity among tourists and significantly contributes to the local economy. Witches are held in high esteem, and their stories, including that of Desscaras, are often chronicled in literature.
The association's functions extend beyond training in magic. It also oversees practical operations, such as managing mail delivery by employing Witch Cadets who use levitation spells to transport letters from the air route harbor.[1] Additionally, the association houses a Society for Research into Magic and Witches, commonly known as the Witches' Research Club. This group focuses on the study of various aspects of magic and witchcraft. Notably, one of its members, Shirabedonna, an Analytic Witch, has expressed a strong interest in researching Ichi, the first known male witch.[2]
Groups Classification[]

- Junior Witch Cadets: Those who have passed an aptitude test and are qualified to learn magic at the Mantinel Magic Academy for Girls (マンチネル魔女学院 Manchineru Majo Gakuen, lit. "Mantinel Witch School"). They are in the early stages of their magical education and training.[1]

Within the Witches Association, there exist a variety of specialized departments. These appear to be mostly staffed by cadets, with a full witch placed in charge as the Club Supervisor (部の統括責任者 Bu no Tōkatsu Sekininsha, lit. "Head of Department").
- Witches' Research Club (魔女研 Majo-ken, lit. "Witch Lab"): The Witches' Research Club, formally known as the Society for Research into Magic and Witches (魔女及び魔法研究学部 Majo Oyobi Mahō Kenkyū Gakubu), is a part of the Mantinel Witches Association that studies magic and witches. This group of witches evaluates magical skills and potential threats. They carry out assessments and research to gain a better understanding of magic and the abilities of different individuals.[2]
- Fashion Department (服飾部 Fukushoku-bu, lit. "Clothing Department"): The Fashion Department is in charge of creating the uniforms for the Association's members.[3]
- Wand & Tools Department (杖工具部 Tsue Kōgu-bu): The Wand & Tools Department is in charge of regular maintenance and upkeep on witches' wands and other tools. They regularly work with Magic Stones, and are even familiar with weapons less commonly used by witches like Ichi's hunting knife.[3]
