Monegold (マネーゴールド Manēgōrudo), also known as the Aureate Witch, is a high-ranking witch of the Mantinel Witches Association.
Appearance[]
Monegold is a woman of average height with a pale complexion. She has long, pale hair, typically covering her left eye, and well-defined eyelashes. She wears a large bulbous hat with a wide brim dripping with an unknown substance, and is typically seen sitting at a desk in a void-like space with mirrors floating around her. When she stands normally, the dripping substance from her hat collects in a pool at her feet.
Personality[]
Monegold is a careful and cautious person, focusing on the security of the citizens during the battle against Uroro. She is also a pragmatic thinker, knowing that reinforcements were necessary to acquire Uroro[1] and that the witches had to be limited in who could meet Ichi to avoid crowding.[2]
She appears to have experience dealing with less professional colleagues, as demonstrated when she avoided arguing with Desscaras.[1] However, there is still a limit to what she is willing to endure; unsurprisingly, crashing into the Mantinel Witches Association headquarters was enough to make her angry at Desscaras.[3]
Plot[]
Introduction Arc[]
Monegold managed the raid against Uroro at Druid Mountain, coordinating the witches setting up barriers and advising Desscaras to wait for reinforcements before challenging the Majik.[1]
For the three days after the battle against Uroro, Monegold was unable to make contact with Desscaras. When she was finally able to, immediately following Ichi's casting of Parthion, she demanded to be filled in on what was going on.[4] After Desscaras explained Ichi becoming a male witch, Monegold was swamped with paperwork and demanded that they return to the Association headquarters and give a proper report.[5]
In the meantime, Monegold put out an order among the Association that any witches wanting to meet with Ichi would need her express, written approval. She gave the first permission to Shirabedonna, as supervisor of the Witches' Research Club.[2]
When Desscaras' group finally made it back to Natali, they crashed into the Association's headquarters. Monegold scolded them for creating a mess, and ordered Desscaras to write a written, formal apology.[3]

Abilities and Skills[]
Monegold appears to have some level of strategic knowledge, having been in charge of the raid against Uroro.[1]
While her position in the Mantinel Witches Association is unclear, she has the ability to give orders to other witches,[5][3] and can block them from being able to perform certain actions; when she banned witches from meeting Ichi without permission, her order was considered important enough to functionally empty headquarters so witches wouldn't run into him.[2]
Magic Ability[]
Monegold's magic abilities are currently unknown, though she has demonstrated mastery over common skills, such as talking through mirrors. Given her position as a titled witch and her authority within the Association, it can be assumed that she is quite strong.

- Monegold's name was incorrectly translated as "Monigold" in the English version of Chapter 5.
