Witches (
Overview[]
Witches are individuals who have successfully completed challenging trials set by Majiks—living forces of magic. Likely the most notable trait of witches is their all-female ranks; traditionally, it is believed that only women have the aptitude for magic, with even the ideal circumstances for a man to acquire magic only rising to 0.001%.
This belief was considered unshakable until Ichi acquired the Majik Uroro and gained magic for himself,[1] a feat the Witches' Research Club are actively researching.[2]
Abilities[]
The abilities of each witch are unique, as they stem from the Majiks that witch has acquired, though it is notable that certain Majiks willfully cooperate with humans and have likely been acquired by multiple witches. However, there appear to be certain spells that can be used by anyone; evidenced by Ichi being capable of using them without acquiring additional Majiks. The only two known spells like this are Lazud[1] and Parthion.[3]
Additionally, there appear to be various magical abilities common to many witches. Whether these originate from magic tools or spells is unknown. These common abilities include various forms of flight, communication through mirrors, and the joint or individual enforcing of magical barriers. At least one witch was shown using some kind of teleportation spell; what kind of ability this is is unclear, however.[1]
Organization[]
One organization managing witches is known, the Mantinel Witches Association, headquartered in Natali. To enter the association, women must pass a magical exam, at which they will be sorted into various departments.
